The etiology of these conditions is multifactorial and treatment can be complex.  Treating pediatric pelvic health conditions requires a specific set of skills and education around treatment strategies that are unique to this patient population. Treatment often includes urotherapy as a conservative approach to treat urinary dysfunction as well as first line treatment for constipation (Austin 2014).
