Pediatric Echo Scanning Tutorial
This course will focus on congenital pediatric echocardiography. A skilled sonographer will walk learners through a live pediatric patient echo scan providing scanning techniques and strategies to optimize echo imaging.
Estimated time for completion: 1 hour and 20 minutes
The target audience includes adult and pediatric sonographers or any other learners wanting to increase their knowledge with pediatric echocardiography.
As a result of this session, learners will be able to report new knowledge related to pediatric echo scanning.
- Define the basic features and imaging goals of a wide variety of congenital heart defects
- Describe standard pediatric echo scanning views
- Describe strategies to optimize echo imaging quality in the pediatric population
