This regularly scheduled series takes place on the third Tuesday of each month for internal faculty, staff and affiliates only. Access to quarterly Ethics topic will be provided to approved members of the list-serve.

Attendance check-in and evaluation are required to obtain professional continuing education credit.

Target Audience:
Physicians, Pediatricians, Advanced Practice Providers, Pharmacists, Nurses, Nursing Students, Respiratory Therapists, EMS Providers, Social Workers and other interested pediatric healthcare providers. Learners will report new knowledge and skills in navigating ethical challenges that occur during the care of pediatric patients.

Global Objectives:

  • Review case examples and discuss ethical frameworks for challenging cases.
  • Discussion of ethical analysis, reasoning and reflection to increase skills and engage in strategies to prevent or resolve conflict.  
  • Provide timely and relevant education content in an evidence and outcomes-based manner that will be impactful to pediatric care. 
  • Review ethical frameworks that can assist learners in identifying and navigating complex ethical issues.
