This course for the interdisciplinary health care team (RN, MD, EMS, APP) provides a review of the clinical pathways for the diagnosis and treatment for diabetic ketoacidosis in children. The course includes a discussion of the etiology of type 1 diabetes, a review of the diabetic ketoacidosis signs and symptoms, as well as potential complications during treatment of pediatric patients. Estimated time for completion: 1 hour
