32nd Annual Abby Stoddard Lectureship in Pediatric Neurology
The Abby Stoddard Lectureship and Visiting Professorship at Children's Hospital Colorado provides faculty physicians, residents, fellows, nurses and other healthcare providers from Children's Hospital and throughout the Rocky Mountain Region healthcare community an opportunity to observe and discuss the latest clinical cases in pediatric neurology, neuroradiology, childhood stroke, hematology, pediatric neuro-intensive care, and rehabilitation.
Target Audience
This education program is intended for physicians, fellows, residents, students, advanced practice providers and nurses who have an interest in pediatric neurology.
Learning Objectives
- Differentiate common pediatric neuroimmunologic disorders based on clinical presentation and initial diagnostic workup.
- Interpret appropriate use and limitations of neuroimmunologic biomarkers and imaging in pediatric patients.
- Apply evidence-based acute and long-term treatment strategies for pediatric autoimmune CNS disorders.
- Recognize red flags for atypical or refractory cases that require specialist referral or escalation of care.
- Incorporate multidisciplinary approaches to care for children with chronic neuroimmunologic conditions.
