Harnessing AI for Pediatric Primary Care: AI Scribes and AI-Powered Evidence Search in Everyday Practice
This course introduces pediatric clinicians to practical uses of AI tools to improve efficiency and care. Participants will learn how AI transcription can reduce documentation time, how to use AI search engines for quick access to pediatric evidence at the point of care, and how to apply safety measures to ensure responsible, privacy-conscious, and evidence-based AI use in clinical practice and teaching.
Target Audience
Physicians, Volunteer Clinical Faculty, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Advanced Practice Providers and Healthcare Team are invited to participate in this Hybrid activity.
Learning Objectives
- Describe how AI ambient transcription tools can reduce documentation burden and free time for patient care and teaching
- Use AI-powered evidence search engines at the point of care to quickly access guidelines, key history and exam findings, and management options for pediatric cases
- Apply practical guardrails to ensure safe and effective use of AI tools, including accuracy checks, privacy protections, and modeling evidence-based decision making for learner
