Asthma Updates and Guidelines
VIRTUAL EVENT
The Physician Relations Lecture Series is an educational event offered periodically throughout 2026. Each session will explore specialized topics in the field of pediatric medicine, featuring talks and discussions from leading experts.
Target Audience
Physicians, Advanced Practice and other interested community women’s healthcare providers and clinicians
Learning Objectives
- Apply current guideline-based criteria to accurately diagnose asthma and differentiate it from other causes of respiratory symptoms in pediatric patients.
- Implement evidence-based asthma management strategies, including appropriate patient selection and use of Single Maintenance and Reliever Therapy (SMART), in accordance with current clinical guidelines.
- Evaluate patients for barriers to optimal asthma control (e.g., medication access, adherence, inhaler technique, social determinants of health) and develop targeted strategies to address these barriers in clinical practice.
