2nd Annual CoPPCAP Learning Collaborative - A Virtual Event
Presented by: Colorado Pediatric Psychiatry Consultation & Access Program
This meeting is specifically for physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) that work with children facing difficult choices with behavioral/mental health concerns. It will provide knowledge regarding key behavioral/mental health topics that will enable the participant to apply acquired knowledge and best practices with patients in his/her practice.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this meeting, participants should be able to:
- Apply the skills gained to partner with a Pediatric Mental Health Care Access Program to increase assessment and treatment of behavioral health concerns presenting in primary care.
- Interpret pharmacogenomic testing of their patients and apply results following the principles of evidence-based medicine.
- Describe brief behavioral interventions that can be provided to families who present with a child with behavioral concerns.
- Explain the rationale for why parents should seek mental health services for their child in a manner that reduces mental health and parenting stigma.
