The conference features nationally renowned faculty in the fields of pediatric trauma, critical care, emergency medicine and pre-hospital care. Participants will be able to propose practice improvements to their teams based on evidence-based guidelines, scientific inquiry, tools and resources presented at the conference. Target Audience
The program content is targeted to surgeons, registered nurses and health care professionals from around the nation who care for injured children.
Learning Objectives
- Apply newly acquired knowledge in the evaluation and management of pediatric trauma patients.
- Identify appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for specific injury types.
- Assess the evidence supporting clinical algorithms and pathways.
- Discuss current national standards of care and ongoing research in managing pediatric trauma patients, emphasizing uncommon content areas.
- Identify recent consensus guidelines in pediatric trauma care.
Learner Outcome
