Forward16th Annual Reach the Peak Asthma & Allergy Review and Update
Reach the Peak is turning 16! We are excited this year to offer a hybrid conference with both in-person and virtual attendance options for MDs, NPs, PA-Cs, nurses, respiratory therapists and other interested clinical team members. There is new curriculum for implementing updated asthma guidelines and addressing barriers to successful asthma management.
Mindful of busy schedules, the 1st day of the conference has updates on asthma & allergy guidelines, spirometry, pharmacology, social determinants, and breakout sessions. AMA Category 1 Credit (aka CME Credit) for physicians is available for the 1st day of the conference. The 2nd day of the conference is focused on putting all the pieces of asthma management together, motivation, and case studies. Attendees are welcome to attend the 1st day or both days and select the CEs below:
5.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ are available for the 1st day, 10.75 NCPD credits are available for full conference attendance. NCPD credit will include pharmacotherapeutic hours.
Attendees may select 1 type of continuing education credit, but not both.
Reach the Peak incorporates problem-based learning methods with a combination of lectures, small group case studies, networking, and comprehensive collaboration strategies. The conference is facilitated by leading experts in their field. The information presented keeps health team members current with the constantly evolving asthma management guidelines, practice challenges and addressing social determinants impacting asthma care.

Target Audience
Physicians, advanced practice providers, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, registered nurses, staff assistants and respiratory therapists will find the content extremely useful in their clinical settings.
Learning Objectives
- Describe the pathophysiology and contributing factors of asthma diagnosis and management
- Apply evidence for new asthma therapies including the use of combination medications as a controller and a reliever therapy (SMART therapy) in children with asthma
- Summarize the importance of addressing social needs and building community partnerships to address barriers in asthma care.
Learner Outcome
As a result of this activity, the participant will report increased knowledge and intent to change practice related to evidence-based asthma guidelines and protocols for pediatric asthma patients.
Scholarship Assistance
Five full scholarships are being offered. To apply, email a letter of request outlining scholarship need to Jade Freeman at Jade.Freeman@childrenscolorado.org by Friday, March 8th, 2024. Notification of award will be sent by Friday, March 15th, 2024, along with instructions on how to register.
Do not register for the conference prior to applying for a scholarship. Separate registration instructions will be sent directly to all scholarship applicants.
