Pediatric Mini Conference - St. Anthony Hospital - Morning Session
OUTREACH EVENT
OVERVIEW
This mini conference is for interdisciplinary healthcare team members caring for pediatric patients in an emergency and pre-hospital setting.
LEARNER OUTCOME
As a result of this session, learners will be able to report new knowledge and intent to change practice in order to provide current, evidence-based care to pediatric patients in an emergent setting.
OBJECTIVES
- Review common assessment techniques in pediatrics.
- Identify strategies to manage an MCI event with pediatric patients.
- Identify pediatric transport restraint techniques.
- Demonstrate key pediatric clinical care skills including suctioning, airway management, IV access and rapid fluid administration.
