Mini SUN (Simulation User Network) Conference

Overview
Simulation in healthcare is a rapidly growing and evolving educational modality. This conference provides the opportunity for the exchange of evidence-based, best practices in simulation with people in the greater Denver metro area, Colorado and possibly neighboring states. Many in the mentioned area are new to simulation, or do not have many opportunities to exchange and share ideas regarding simulation. This conference will allow for learning about new work in simulation, networking and sharing of ideas around the discipline of healthcare simulation.

EMS, Physicians, Registered Nurses, Respiratory Therapists
Learning Objectives
- Design a personal professional development pathway.
- Describe ways to incorporate pediatric simulation activities with limited resources.
- Identify ways to incorporate elements of micro-aggression and health justice in simulation activities.
- Discuss basic Rapid Cycle Deliberate Practice (RCDP) debriefing techniques.
- Identify new moulage techniques for simulation.
- Describe available resources and application for simulation certification.
Learner Outcome
Learners will report gaining new knowledge related to methodologies in simulation-based education that can be incorporated in healthcare education.
Registration, attendance, and completion of the online evaluation are required for successful completion. Claim only the hours you attend. A certificate of attendance will be available for printing upon completion of the online evaluation.
