Eating Disorders in Primary Care
The Physician Relations Lecture Series is an educational event offered periodically throughout 2024. Each session will explore specialized topics in the field of pediatric medicine, featuring talks and discussions from leading experts.

Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers and other interested community pediatric healthcare providers
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity participants should be able to:
- Describe the medical assessment and monitoring of youth presenting with eating concerns in the primary care setting.
- Review brief components of Family Based Treatment in the primary care setting to address eating concerns with both the patient and the family.
- Discuss DSM5 diagnostic criteria of common eating disorders in childhood and adolescence and best practices for psychopharmacology management.
