Drowning in Pediatrics
This course for the interdisciplinary health care team (RN, MD, APP, EMS) provides an in-depth look at pediatric drownings. Dr. Cripe explores the definition, epidemiology, prognosis, and therapy related to these incidents. The course emphasizes the importance of prevention strategies such as close supervision, swimming lessons, and life jackets. The presentation also covers medical response strategies to drowning, focusing on preventing secondary injuries and providing pulmonary support.
