Heart Institute - Annual Education Symposium
Welcome Heart Team!
The symposium will provide clinical updates reviewing management of pediatric cardiac topics to enhance the knowledge and skills for the Heart Institute team.
Target Audience
Physicians, nursing, clinical technicians, heart staff.
Learning Objectives
Describe the challenges in managing infants and children with MAPCAs.
Discuss current Transplant protocols in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and how the results are utilized to improve patient outcomes.
Identify the pharmacokinetics of the commonly used antibody-directed therapy.
Explain the management of Adult Congenital Heart Disease in the setting of a Children’s Hospital.
Learner Outcome:
After participating in this educational event, learners will report increased knowledge related to complex CHD care. Participants will report at least one practice change they intend to make as a result of this education.
