Molly is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, University of Colorado School of Medicine. Following an initial bachelor degree in psychology from University of Puget Sound, she received her bachelors, masters, and doctorate of nursing practice degrees at University of Colorado College of Nursing. She practices as a pediatric nurse practitioner in Neuro-Oncology in the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children's Hospital Colorado. She is also the co-director of the Neurofibromatosis Therapeutics Program. During her career she has published several abstracts and papers in the areas of neurofibromatosis therapeutics, experimental therapeutics, neuro-oncology, nursing in neuro-oncology, palliative care, long term follow-up, medical marijuana, and supportive care. Molly volunteers at Roundup River Ranch to support kids with cancer and neurofibromatosis in the camp setting. She lives in Denver and enjoys spending time with her family of six skiing, hiking, listening to music, and being creative and artistic.
Objectives
- Educate about neurofibromatosis and the clinical need for a focused treatment program
- Discuss development of a focused neurofibromatosis (NF) treatment program
- Identify tumors associated with NF and special treatment considerations
- Review treatment and side effects in the management of NF related tumors
