This conference is intended to present the most current research and application for practitioners interested in current topics in pediatric clinical nutrition.
Target Audience
This conference is intended to present the most current research and application for clinical nutrition practice areas for the care of infants and children and will be of interest to staff at Children’s Colorado, community physicians, nurses, dietitians and other multidisciplinary healthcare providers.
Learning Objectives
Translate diet, gut microbiome, and metabolites to pediatric health and disease
Describe potential applications for foodomics approaches in research and clinical practices
Review Key Action Statements of the 2023 AAP Obesity Clinical Practice Guidelines including updates on anti-obesity medications and bariatric surgery
Describe the eight tenets of weight-inclusive care, and how to integrate them into their specific healthcare settings

Children's Hospital Colorado will host this conference live in person, with a virtual option.
Free parking for conference guest available in Lot #10 Visitor Parking located on Victor Street, just east of the hospital’s main entrance.
Arrive early to allow for pre-screening. Please enter the hospital at the main entrance and take the elevators to the Conference and Education Center on the second floor.
Medical:
Children’s Hospital Colorado is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Dietitians and DTR's:
Children’s Hospital Colorado Department of Clinical Nutrition is a CPE Accredited Provider from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Other:
A certificate of participation will be provided to other health care professionals. Participants should ensure in advance that their credentialing or licensing organization accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

Commission on Dietetic Registration, The credentialing agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics allows for "Exhibit Learning" time to be claimed. Learners may record several exhibits that relate to the same performance indicator as one event on their Activity Log.
Learners may claim an extra (1) hour upon completion of the evaluation with hours attestation.
Price
Register for the conference.
Participate as an active learner.
Complete the evaluation to obtain Accredited Continuing Education (ACE) credit.
Cancellation Policy
The Planning Committee reserves the right to alter the agenda or cancel the conference in the event of an unforeseen circumstance, or if the minimum registration is not attained by October 20, 2023 with a full refund to participants.
- All cancellations must be received in writing at ce@childrenscolorado.org
- No refunds will be given three (3) business days prior to the activity start date.
- Cancelled registrations can be transferred to another individual for the same activity.
- Individuals who fail to attend the activity (no-shows) will not receive any refund. Forfeited fees may not be applied to any other activity.
