This virtual EMS conference is for prehospital providers caring for pediatric patients in the emergency and pre-hospital setting. Current clinical issues and implications for children's health and clinician care delivery are presented and discussed. 

This conference will be hosted virtually.  A Zoom link will be provided via email 2 days before the conference.

Learner Outcomes

As a result of this session, learners will be able to report new knowledge related to pediatric specialty practice in order to provide current, evidence-based care to pediatric populations. 

Learning Objectives

  • Update the community on current state activities in EMS.
  • Discuss the role of EMS clinicians of all levels in providing home telehealth options. 
  • Discuss what point of care ultrasound is and include it's uses and limitations. 
  • Review the updated recommendations for management of pediatric airway emergencies.
  • Explore care of the pediatric trauma patient via case studies.
  • Describe care considerations when discontinuing resuscitation for the pediatric patient. 
  • Review pediatric transport case studies from the scene to the ED.
