The 21st Society of Pediatric Radiology Basic Course in Cardiac MRI
Overview
Are you looking at starting or growing a pediatric cardiac MR practice? If so the Basic Course in Pediatric CMR is designed to prepare you to become an independent practitioner by teaching you the fundamentals of pediatric CMR with live hands-on scanning experience, post processing, pediatric CMR reporting, interpretation and direct mentorship from an expert Faculty.
There is a 24 person capacity for the Hands-on/Basic Course which you must be invited to attend. Please CLICK HERE to complete a short application if you would like to attend the Basic Course. If you are accepted into the Society of Pediatric Radiology (SPR) Basic Course, you will be automatically registered for the SPR Advanced Course as well. A member of the Children's Hospital Colorado Planning Committee will reach out to you directly with further instructions.

Special Rates for Low-Income Countries
Low-income registration pricing is set aside for attendees who live in World Bank-designated low- and low-middle income countries. The registration rate is less than 50% lower than the published rates noted above*. The reduced registration rate will be granted following a letter of request to the course coordinator, Jade Freeman-Martinez at jade.freeman@childrenscolorado.org.
Cancellation Policy
Online refunds may be processed through September 23, 2025 minus a $150 cancellation fee. After this date no refunds will be granted for non-attendance.
Target Audience
Radiologists, cardiologists and trainees aiming to learn pediatric CMR for the assessment of congenital heart disease and pediatric cardiovascular disorders.
Learning Objectives
- Describe pediatric cardiac MR acquisition, sequences and optimization via didactic lectures and hands-on scanning.
- Identify indications, post-processing, analysis and reporting of cases via didactic lectures and hands-on experience.
- Interpret the indications for pediatric CMR including, tetralogy of Fallot, aortopathies, single ventricle lesions, cardiac masses and lots more.
- Formulate professional mentorships by a panel of international CMR experts in a welcoming environment.
