COVID-19 in Pediatrics Update

Overview
The SARS-CoV2 pandemic is a rapidly evolving situation with new information and guidance being issued daily. Children’s Hospital Colorado is sponsoring this conference to provide the most up-to-date information for pediatric clinicians on acute COVID-19 disease, MIS-C, vaccines, school, post-COVID syndrome, and the mental health impacts of the pandemic.
Target Audience
This conference presents SARS-CoV2 topics of interest to pediatric, family practice and infectious diseases clinicians, as well as other health professionals.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this conference, participants should be able to:
- Discuss the newest recommendations for the diagnosis and management of acute COVID-19 in children.
- Describe the most recent guidance on diagnosis and management of multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C).
- Apply new knowledge and skills in identifying and managing mental health challenges during the SARS-CoV2 pandemic.
- Describe the most recent data on COVID-19 vaccines in children.
- Explain how a pediatric clinician may play a role in issues related to school attendance in the U.S.
- Discuss post-COVID syndrome in children.
