After viewing this presentation, participants will self-report increased knowledge and competency related to identifying patients at risk for asthma and diagnosing asthma.

  • Identify the key symptoms of asthma and common triggers
  • Identify the risk factors for developing asthma in childhood
  • Describe the other diseases and illnesses that can mimic asthma is in the diagnostic process
  • Discuss the basic treatment choices for children with asthma
