Learning Objectives

  1. Differentiate common pediatric causes of dizziness and neuromuscular complaints from presentations that may indicate serious underlying pathology.
  2. Identify neurologic and clinical red flags that warrant additional evaluation, specialist referral, or urgent intervention.
  3. Apply evidence-based approaches to the initial evaluation and management of pediatric patients presenting with dizziness or neuromuscular symptoms.
  4. Determine when reassurance, diagnostic workup, referral, or escalation of care is appropriate based on clinical presentation.
