Epic IT Training Sessions - Quarterly Ongoing Provider Training - Q4
Exclusive to Children's Hospital Colorado. EPIC Trainings are hosted and evaluated in Cornerstone, with credit verification provided in this CE Platform for all learners completing Q4 Training.
There is currently a gap in knowledge of Epic functionality and workflows for providers to be successful when documenting on patients. The required trainings to aid in closing those gap(s) can be found in this educational activity and CME Credit will be provided for completion of the required trainings. This course is designed to Enhance Provider Proficiency in Epic System Updates, Promote Safe and Efficient Patient Care, Support Regulatory and Institutional Compliance.

Target Audience
This training module for the interdisciplinary health care team (MD, APP, Fellows, Residents, et al) provides a review of best practices in Epic documentation and how to improve competence and performance with charting for patient documentation. The courses are updated often to share the most timely and relevant content with regards to Epic charting and continual improvements within the software.
Learning Objectives
- Identify and apply key functionality changes introduced in the quarterly Epic upgrade to improve clinical efficiency and accuracy in documentation and order entry.
- Recognize and implement updated workflows and safety enhancements within the Epic system that support timely, evidence-based decision-making and reduce the risk of errors.
- Demonstrate an understanding of system changes that support institutional policies, billing compliance, and clinical quality metrics, ensuring alignment with both internal and external regulatory standards.
