Healthcare Simulation Essentials: Design and Debriefing 2023
Led by some of the world's leading simulation educators from the Center for Medical Simulation in Boston, this 4-day course incorporates the latest advances in simulation and educational practice. Participants will learn how to teach clinical, behavioral and cognitive skills through simulation as well as strategies they can use to make a significant, measurable impact on their organization.
The course takes place over 4 consecutive days and includes continuous, individualized mentoring from highly experienced CMS faculty. It combines didactic experiential learning with practice and feedback. Participants will run and debrief simulation cases and receive coaching and feedback on debriefing skills from leading experts.
Attendees join a growing community of Center for Medical Simulation graduates who are positioned as leaders in the field.

- Practice debriefing interprofessional simulation scenarios with high learner engagement.
- Demonstrate facilitation techniques using "Good Judgement" approach to affect learner behavior.

Learning Outcomes
After attending this educational event, participants will report increased knowledge of adult learning theory to facilitate effective learning experience. After attending this program, participants will be able to create a safe learning environment and demonstrate effective tools and techniques in simulation debriefing.
