The Physician Relations Lecture Series is an educational event offered periodically throughout 2025. Each session will explore specialized topics in the field of pediatric medicine, featuring talks and discussions from leading experts.

Physicians, Advanced Practice and other interested Community healthcare providers and clinicians

Learning Objectives

  • Review basic amniotic fluid principles including function and physiology, normal values, fetal impact of low fluid volumes and ultrasound acquisition of volumes.
  • Discuss the management options of early and prolonged fetal anhydramnios, including the option of serial amnioinfusions through the ongoing RAFT trial.
  • Discuss primary, non-renal issues of initial newborn resuscitation and care following early and prolonged fetal anhydramnios.
  • Review renal replacement therapy, newborn dialysis eligibility and options and basic steps towards dialysis.
