Joint Ventures: A Tour Through the Landscape of Pediatric Inflammatory Arthritis
This course for the interdisciplinary health care team (RN, MD, APP, EMS) provides a description of the distinguishing features and physical examination signs of inflammatory arthritis. The course also includes discussion on the five most common causes of pediatric inflammatory arthritis: septic joint, post-infectious arthritis Juvenile idiopathic arthritis, leukemia, and other systemic rheumatological condition.

Learner Outcomes
As a result of this activity, learners will be able to report new knowledge related to inflammatory arthritis in order to provide current, evidence-based care to pediatric patients.
Learning Objectives
- Describe the distinguishing historical features and physical examination signs of inflammatory arthritis.
- List at least five causes of inflammatory arthritis.
- Delineate the most characteristic features of the following forms of inflammatory arthritis: septic joint, post-infectious arthritis, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, other systemic rheumatological condition, and leukemia.
