- Recognize common seizure types in children and apply evidence-based initial management strategies.
- Differentiate epilepsy from isolated unprovoked seizures using current diagnostic criteria.
- Identify common pediatric headache types and distinguish them from secondary causes requiring urgent evaluation.
- Implement appropriate acute and preventative management strategies for pediatric headaches and determine when referral to a specialist is indicated.
