OUTREACH ACTIVITY
Overview and Target Audience
This activity is for interdisciplinary healthcare team members caring for pediatric patients in an emergency and pre-hospital setting. We will provide clinical updates and address current topics relevant to the care for sick and injured pediatric patients.
This education day will be held at CommonSpirit St. Anthony's North Hospital with only an in-person attendance option. No recordings or virtual links will be provided for this education event.
Learner Outcome
After attending this education, learners will report increased knowledge of assessment and treatment principles for common pediatric emergencies and the presentation and management of pediatric respiratory emergencies. Learners will be expected to successfully demonstrate key pediatric clinical care skills including care of pediatric trauma patients, IV/IO access, fluid resuscitation, suctioning, use of oxygen devices, mental health, medication management, and ortho/trauma for the pediatric patient.
