The Physician Relations Lecture Series is an educational event offered periodically throughout 2025. Each session will explore specialized topics in the field of pediatric medicine, featuring talks and discussions from leading experts.
Target Audience
Physicians, Advanced Practice and other interested community providers
Learning Objectives
- Review the background and embryologic development of myelomeningocele (MMC).
- Identify prenatal evaluation of fetal MMC.
- Determine the specific fetal intervention procedures (open vs fetoscopic) for MMC, related risks/complications, and implications for future pregnancies.
- Discuss postoperative patient care and activity.
- Summarize newborn evaluation, care/treatment, and long-term outcomes.
