We Regret to Inform You, Your Flight Has Been Delayed: Stabilization While Awaiting Pediatric Transport

This course for the interdisciplinary health care team (RN, MD, APP, EMS) provides a review of the strategies to optimize pediatric patients for transport. Complications and safety concerns during pediatric stabilization and transport are discussed. Three of the most common reasons for transport are discussed as case studies.

As a result of this activity, learners will be able to report new knowledge related to stabilization while awaiting transport in order to provide current, evidence-based care to pediatric patients.
