The Frankenburg-Camp Endowed Fund honors the pioneering leadership of Dr. William K. Frankenburg, who made developmental screening an integral part of pediatric practice throughout the world. The Fund supports research, training and advocacy for early identification and prevention of developmental disorders in otherwise normal children at risk of becoming environmental casualties.

Michelle Macias, MD, FAAP
Dr. Macias is a Professor of Pediatrics and chief of the Division of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. She is board certified in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities.
Dr. Macias has an active clinical practice evaluating and treating children with a broad range of developmental and behavioral disorders. She has served on numerous state and national committees, and is a past-President of the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, past-Chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, is medical editor for the American Board of Pediatrics Sub-board of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, and serves on the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education Pediatrics Review Committee. She has been involved with many national activities regarding developmental, autism and behavioral surveillance and screening, including the 2020 AAP Developmental Screening and ASD Evaluation and Treatment Clinical Reports, the 2015 Behavioral Screening Clinical Report, the AAP-CDC Developmental Surveillance online learning module, the AAP Periodic Survey on Developmental and Autism Screening, the AAP Screening in Practices Initiative Learning Collaborative Project and the MCHB Healthy and Ready to Learn Expert Panel. She is the co-editor of the recently revised AAP Manual on Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.
