  • Apply the STORY communication framework (See, Tune in, Open, Recognize, Yes) to structure clinical conversations that enhance empathy, trust, and understanding with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Demonstrate reflective listening, validation (Paraphrase-Empathize-Pause), and curiosity-based questioning techniques to effectively recognize and respond to patient and team emotions.
  • Integrate practical, evidence-based communication strategies that improve efficiency, teamwork, and patient-family satisfaction within daily clinical practice.
