Conference Overview
We are excited to return to Vail, Colorado for the 43rd Annual Conference on Pediatric Infectious Diseases. Vail is a small community nestled in the mountains and a short, beautiful drive from Denver, Colorado.
We will be holding a hybrid conference. You can choose to come in-person (Live Attendance) or to attend virtually (Virtual Attendance). The in-person conference will take place at The Lodge at Vail (lodgeatvail.rockresorts.com), located in the heart of Vail Village.
This conference presents topics of interest to pediatric, family practice and infectious diseases clinicians, as well as other health professionals. Speakers cover the most recent information on diagnosis, management, and prevention of infections in pediatrics. Discussion of controversial issues and questions follow each presentation. This conference is designed to promote information interchange; therefore, registration is limited.

Target Audience
This conference presents topics of interest to pediatric, family practice and infectious diseases clinicians, as well as other health professionals.
Learning Objectives
- Describe penicillin allergy delabeling for outpatients.
- Discuss management of multi-drug-resistant UTIs and SSTIs
- Describe advances and best-practices in the diagnosis and management of pediatric infectious diseases including: viral CNS infections; lymphadenitis; fungal infections; Kawasaki Disease and MIS-C
- Review newly-emerging infections from around the world
- Discuss how vaccines work, vaccine safety, and the rationale behind vaccine schedules and how they have evolved to the current day
- Review best approaches to vaccine hesitancy
- Review 2026-2027 recommendations for influenza, COVID and RSV
- Discuss the changing epidemiology and clinical presentation of several vaccine preventable diseases
- Describe data and best practices for antibiotic durations in children
- Review management of newborns with no/minimal prenatal care or exposure to syphilis
- Review epidemiology, diagnosis and management of common foodborne diseases in children
- Describe important publications from the last year that should change how we practice

Vail has an outdoor pool, hot tubs, spa facilities, a bar, and restaurants on site. The Lodge at

A registration refund, minus a $25 processing fee, will be granted if cancellation is requested by July 17, 2026. No refunds will be granted after this date or for non-attendance.
Children’s Hospital Colorado reserves the right to modify the agenda or cancel this conference in the event of an unforeseen circumstance, or if minimum acceptable registration is not attained by June 25, 2026.
